Similar to NBA teams around the league, ESPN has been very busy this off-season with their incomings and outgoings. There have been a number of changes in their roster and eminent names like Jeff Van Gundy, Jalen Rose, and many others have lost their jobs due to the ongoing layoffs. However, one name remains constant on the network. It is Stephen A. Smith, who rakes in huge numbers every week. Smith previously used to work with Max Kellerman, who was a fan favorite.

Interestingly, it looks like Smith isn’t a fan of Kellerman, as he let his honest thoughts out recently. When an NFL veteran came to Kellerman’s rescue, he faced Stephen A. Smith’s wrath.

Max Kellerman lost his job in 2021, along with 20 others during initial layoffs. Although he was a fan favorite, it looks like Smith didn’t like working with him on First Take.

Recently, Smith revealed his honest thoughts on Kellerman live on television. The veteran analyst’s words were not taken well by fans who have favored Kellerman for a long time. Not only the fans but even NFL legend, Terrell Owens came to Kellerman’s rescue. He shared an old clip of himself along with Kellerman and Smith when the veteran analyst seemed offended. Replying to Owens’ claims on Twitter, the First Take host didn’t hold anything back. You know how I feel about your sorry a** @terrellowens and you know why! You should thank your Heavenly Father I haven’t zeroed in on you with the trifling sh*t you tried to pull. Tell folks to ask ESPN what your desperate a** tried to pull. Keep on talking. Eventually, you’ll expose yourself!, wrote Smith on Twitter.

The former NFL wide receiver was critical of Smith for his thoughts on controversial football star Colin Kaepernick. “Max Kellerman seems blacker than you, Stephen A.”, said Owens live on television, which had visibly frustrated Smith.

What did Smith say about Kellerman?

The veteran ESPN analyst went viral across social media platforms for his thoughts on Kellerman. Two years after he was removed from First Take, Smith revealed he had told ESPN to let his colleague go. “It was totally my fault and the reason it was my fault is because I didn’t like working with him. It’s just that da*n simple”, revealed the millionaire analyst.
