The NBA season is only a few more weeks away and ESPN’s First Take is surely revamping up their roster of hosts. One of which is adding none other than Shannon Sharpe, who previously was a host on Undisputed with Skip Bayless.

Shannon Sharpe will be joining forces with Stephen A. Smith now on First Take. But before his debut, Sharpe went on to give Smith his flowers on his own podcast. On the most recent episode of Club Shay Shay, Sharpe was joined by none other than his future co-host.

While on the show, the two talked about multiple aspects of Smith’s life. And eventually, Sharpe wanted to give credit and recognition where it was due. While on the show, Sharpe said, “I want to toast you bro cause you paved the way for a lot of guys.”

“You made it, not just athlete, and I want to give you your flowers bro.” Smith was honored by Sharpe’s words and said a few words of appreciation himself.

How will Sharpe perform with Smith?

Stephen A. Smith has been the star of his show First Take on ESPN for decades. And that is the way it has been for so long. But now, the veteran NBA analyst will have a co-host instead of guest hosts on his show.

Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless’ Undisputed brought in huge numbers for the network. The back and forth the two had while on the show, discussing sports was something the viewers wanted to see.
