Ayesha Curry, the multi-talented cook, actor, and wife of NBA superstar Stephen Curry had a challenging journey while becoming a mother. With an internationally renowned husband building his career with the Warriors, things weren’t easy as they would always be in the spotlight. Nevertheless, the NBA power couple has been married happily for thirteen years with three kids now.

Most recently, Ayesha Curry revealed the hilarious anecdote of how they found out her first daughter wasn’t a boy.

Ayesha Curry recently appeared on the “Because Life” podcast, hosted by Stephen Curry’s sister Sydel Curry. In this close-knit podcast episode, Ayesha shared her struggles with pregnancy and postpartum depression while delving into the most private elements of her life. She told the frank truth about the difficulties she encountered while carrying her three lovely children. Having had a different set of challenges during each of her three pregnancies, Ayesha didn’t hesitate to open up about the emotional rollercoaster she went through.

Ayesha revealed, ” I wanted a boy from the beginning. From Riley days. They actually told me Riley was a boy. I walked around for a month calling Riley, Cannon. It was interesting.“

“Stephen twitches in his sleep. And then one night he accidentally bumped my belly a little bit. I made a big deal about it because I’m very dramatic to the family. So his parents were at the ultrasound. His dad was in there. And they were like, ‘Oh, I thought I was wrong, it’s a girl.’ He goes, ‘You kicked the p*n*s off.’ I’ll never forget it.”

Fortunately for Ayesha Curry, she got her wish fulfilled as fate gifted her with Cannon Jack Curry after 6 years.

Stephen and Ayesha Curry were ecstatic to welcome Cannon Jack Curry into the world after years of wishing for a son. However, the journey was far from pleasant for Ayesha: “That pregnancy, it was the worst.”

Her struggles were exacerbated by thyroid issues, which made her pregnancy much more difficult. “That was a time when it was all hands on deck with the girls. Cause I, again definitely some depression there because I felt like I couldn’t be a mom to these two children that I already bought into this world. And it was a miserable time. There’s nothing I could say about that experience that is positive other than I was grateful to be having a child.”

While there were worries about Cannon being underweight, he came out to be 6-7 pounds. “He was handsome,” she revealed, “I think he was my cutest baby.”
