Apart from his incredible basketball skills, Giannis Antetokounmpo?has gained recognition for his remarkable poise. The ‘Greek Freak’ rarely loses his cool or crumbles under pressure. He consistently manages to keep a composed and upbeat personality, even during the most critical parts of the game. However, in a rare display of frustration, Giannis lashed out against a reporter this year, following his loss to the Miami Heat. This incident was widely publicized, and he gained attention from both fans and critics alike for it.
Now, recently, a trolling fan put a twist on Giannis’ three-minute speech to the reporter, earning a block from Gianni. This sent the NBA world into a frenzy.

The NBA world witnessed an enraged Giannis Antetokounmpo when a reporter asked if their 2022-2023 season can be considered a failure since the Milwaukee Bucks didn’t win the championship. The reporter chose the wrong time to bring this question up. Despite trying their best, Giannis & Co couldn’t get past the formidable Miami Heat. And Giannis was tired of hearing the same question again.
He answered, “There are always steps to it. Michael Jordan played for 15 years and won six championships. So, the other nine years was a failure? That is what are you telling me. Yes or no?” To sum up his rant, he believes there are steps to achieving something. Just because you face a setback doesn’t mean it’s a total failure. “There is no failure in sports. There are good days, there are bad days. Some days you are able to be successful, some days you are not,” he said.
Recently, a fan on Twitter twisted Giannis’ words into a “joke”, which might have enraged Giannis.
Giannis recently went to China to promote his upcoming shoe, the Nike Zoom Freak 5. He was accompanied by his brothers, Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Alex Emeka Antetokounmpo. They landed in the city of Guangzhou on Wednesday.
Giannis then shared a tweet of pictures of the Antetokounmpo brothers in China. A fan, however, took this opportunity to take a dig at the Antetokounmpo brothers with his tweet.
This isn’t a failure, it’s just a step on the road to success 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/9G1vmWPzGK

They shared a screenshot of their tweet that read, “Damn dropping off Thanasis.” However, the Alphabet Brother might not have found it funny as he blocked the troll.
Alongside their initial tweet, the fan then showed that they’d been blocked and wrote, “This isn’t a failure, its just a step on the road to success,” alluding to Giannis’ speech.
NBA fans react to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s move
Many fans seemed to have anticipated that Giannis would ignore the remark or answer amusingly, but the Greek Freak surprised everyone with his response. Giannis swiftly blocked the trolling fan, ending any further conversation, instead of exchanging insults or choosing the high road. Fans took to Twitter to share how they felt about the same.
A fan tweeted, “Cooked his ass. You just know he was mad lol.”

Now that he’s blocked the troll, he won’t have to deal with them anymore. Unfortunately for Giannis, he is likely to encounter many more.
