Jaylen Brown's fearless attack on Nike—Is he the voice we need in today's sports world?

Jaylen Brown‘s beef with Nike doesn’t seem to take a break! Brown and Nike go a long way, however, the Celtic still continued to rock his favorite Kobes. Nevertheless, as Brown recently released a diss track on Nike, the NBA world did not expect this beef to go this far. Yes, Jaylen Brown quite literally attacked Nike with this track and fans are loving it. Featuring A$AP Ferg on his ‘Just Do It’ track, JB recently posted a behind-the-scenes video.

Now, Brown did a pretty good job on his first-ever diss track. But Ferg believed him to be working a bit too hard on a certain verse. After finishing up a take, Brown went on to repeat the verse and Ferg’s reaction said it all. “Yo why are you doing it over? No! You Gucci. You trynna work too hard, that’s how I know you won a championship. Cause you just wanna work.”, A$AP hilariously said. Being in the industry for years, Ferg could tell that Brown was working a bit too hard on his verse.

Even though the 27-year-old is coming off a championship run, the recent turn of events does make a case for a vengeance of a season. Brown wasn’t chosen for Kawhi‘s replacement on Team USA. Moreover, after learning that White would be coming in place of Leonard, Brown took to Twitter to call out Nike. But what started this beef between JB and Nike?

Jaylen Brown did not like Nike for one reason

Back when Nike decided to cut ties with Kyrie Irving, Brown was not siding with the swoosh on the situation. The controversy led to Irving losing his deal with Nike, however, Uncle Drew wasn’t alone in this fight. Jaylen Brown called out Nike, referring to their ethics. Now, this was just a year after Brown’s deal with Adidas came to an end. So far, JB was rocking his favorite Kobes every game. But as his disappointment in the brand grew, JB took the swoosh off of his Kobes before each game.

In short, Brown was not happy with Nike after the Kyrie Irving controversy. The question that recently came to light was if Jaylen brown was snubbed from playing for Team USA because of Nike. Of course, the brand sponsored the entire American contingent for the Paris Olympics. Did they have a say regarding which players can be on the team? It might be possible, but Grant Hill denied all such claims, revealing that adding Derrick White to the roster was only a basketball decision.
