The Lonzo Ball injury has been one of the most heartbreaking stories in the NBA in recent times. Ball played his last NBA game against the Golden State Warriors in January 2022 and left the game with a torn meniscus in the left knee. He was ruled out for the rest of the season and missed the 2022-23 season following his surgery.

Lonzo Ball revealed on Trae Young?s podcast that he will not be playing in the upcoming NBA season. He went through a cartilage transplant in his left knee in March. After the announcement, ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith made a wild claim about the Chicago Bulls guard’s injury. But Lonzo?s fans were quick to bite back.

During a segment on First Take, Stephen A. claimed, ?I have heard that it?s even hard for him to get up from the sitting position.? This left the Bulls fans worried about when they will get to see their rising star back on the court. Prior to the injury, Lonzo had become a solid guard for the Bulls, averaging 13 points, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals. His impressive two-way game helped DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine operate freely on offense. Lonzo?s injury left a big void in the Bulls? defense, and they lost in the first round of the 2022 playoffs to the Milwaukee Bucks.

With fans in agony after Stephen A.?s comments, Lonzo responded to the 55-year-old with a video of him doing one-legged sit-ups off a chair. ?Stephen A., Who are your sources bro?? Lonzo said as he showed that he is in much better shape than what Smith claimed on the show. Lonzo was really hyped at the end of the video saying, ?I am coming back man, Come on.? Lonzo signed a 4-year $85 million contract with the Chicago Bulls in 2021.
