Tristan Thompson surely has had an interesting life when it comes to relationships. But then, yet again, he’s in trouble. This time, for not paying up his past child support payments. The payments will be dedicated to his former fling, Maralee Nichols, a fitness influencer, for their son, Theo.

As per documents obtained by The Sun, the Los Angeles Superior Court passed a judgment, making Thompson liable to pay $57,916 in backlog payments. As per the documents, Thompson has missed many payments from September 15, 2023, through January 31, 2024.

Little Theo was born in 2021, while Tristan was supposedly in an exclusive relationship with Khloé Kardashian when they were planning their second child via surrogacy. The only reason this relationship came to light was because Nichols sued him for child support. Nichols, 32, along with Thompson, filed for a paternity lawsuit in June 2021, stating that Thompson is indeed Theo’s father. Once the paternity test came positive, after a lot of back and forth, the court held Thompson liable to pay $9,500 per month. It is still not confirmed whether he did what was asked of him and Nichols received the money. The Sun also reported that Thompson has not even met his 2YO son with Nichols since he was born in December 2021.

Of course, it wasn’t easy. The NBA star denied multiple times before the paternity test stated otherwise. Later, Thompson publically said, “Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son… I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Thompson has failed to carry out his fatherly duties.

But on October 2023, she filed a case against the 33-year-old Canadian for either not paying or making partial payments.
