The game ended with the Hawks scoring 129 over the Phoenix Suns’ score of 120. Point guard Trae Young coming in hot with the “Big Snub Energy” managed to bag 32 points. The internet is flooded with fan reactions. “Yall pissed trae young off snubbing him for the 2nd year ina row,” one fan posted on X.

Back with Vengeance

After being drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 NBA Draft, Trae found himself in the NBA All-Star games in 2020 and 2022 as a backcourt starter. But what happened in 2021 when he missed the All-Star selection?

In a surprising turn of events, the Atlanta Hawks, led by Trae’s 25.3 points and 9.4 assists per game average, reached the Eastern Conference Finals against the defending champions, Milwaukee Bucks.

Fueled by the “big snub energy”, Young led his Team-high with 27 points and 32 points in 2023 and 2024, respectively. “Don’t put Baby in a corner” should be updated to “Don’t put Young in the All-Star Game” and watch him take his team to the Championship or at least the Conference finals.

It’s not over yet

With Embiid’s left knee meniscus tear and Julius Randle’s dislocated shoulder, a spot or two may just have opened up on the All-Star roster. This time it won’t be the fans, media, teams, or coaches doing the selection, but League Commissioner Adam Silver will select the replacement for the injured players.
