Miami Heat star and 2023 NBA Finalist Jimmy Butler is quite the sports fanatic. Apart from being one of the best basketball players, he also likes to indulge himself in other sports frequently. Having recently attended a Wimbledon game, Butler is a huge tennis fan. The 6-time All-Star recently showed his support for an injured British tennis sensation on Instagram. 

The tennis star in question is none other than 20-year-old sensation Emma Raducanu. She has spent a long time on the sidelines and her latest update has Butler quite excited.

Jimmy Butler reacts to Emma Raducanu’s latest update

20-year-old Emma Raducanu grabbed all the headlines a few months ago in January. During her second-round matchup in the ASB Classic in Auckland, she slipped and injured her ankle.

To make matters worse, this unfortunate injury occurred just one week before the Australian Open. Despite this horrific injury, the World No. 133 still participated in the Australian Open.

Although she got off to a great start, Raducanu suffered defeat at the hands of the American sensation, Coco Gauff. Having last played on the 18th of April, Raducanu has undergone a number of surgeries on her wrist and ankle.

It seems like she is finally ready to make a comeback after more than 100 days of absence. Taking to Instagram, the tennis star posted an empowering video that shows her practicing some of her shots.

This drew a response from Jimmy Butler. “@emmaraducanu back to the court“, wrote the Heat star while sharing her post on his Instagram story.

Butler delivered on his tennis promise

Jimmy Butler is a huge fan of sports. From soccer to tennis, he follows multiple sports religiously. In fact, he also has some very famous friends who belong to other sports; for instance, soccer superstar Neymar Jr.

Ahead of the Wimbledon Semi-Finals this year, Butler had promised that he would attend a game to see Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz. The Heat star kept his promise and was seen in the stands during the quarter-finals between Alcaraz and Holger Rune. Alcaraz breezed past his rival and marched into the semi-final and, subsequently, the final.

Alcaraz faced off against tennis great Novak Djokovic in the Finals. The match turned out to be a classic as Alcaraz got the better of Djokovic and ushered in a new age in tennis.
