When discussing the best point guards in the NBA, Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic will invariably be a part of the conversation. While discussing Lillard’s stance on the best PG debate on the NBA Today, ESPN journalist Zach Lowe chimed in with his views. Although Zach Lowe disagrees with Dame’s statement, he offers a unique perspective on an athlete’s psyche. “I would disagree with him. I would put Steph over him, maybe Luka. But he’s in the conversation, and what really matters is that he believes it. What else is he supposed to do? That’s how you go out there and become Damian Lillard, a top 75-All Time player.”

Dame’s recent statements about putting himself above Chef Curry on the list of best point guards in the league showcase his belief in himself more than anything.

But what does Dame bring to the table?

The NBA Today conversation steered into Dame Dolla’s complicated trade saga. The Portland Trail Blazers guard has made his intentions clear about wanting to move to the South Beach. However, a deal has yet to be finalized since the Heats lack the trading capacity to convince the Blazers to trade Dame.

Last season, the Jimmy Butler-led Heat came extremely close to winning the championship for the fourth time in team history. In addition, Dame has yet to win a championship.
