The Los Angeles Lakers ended their 6-game road trip with a dominant win over the Charlotte Hornets tonight. After losing two straight games to the Rockets and the Hawks last week, LeBron James and Co. turned things around in February and went undefeated in the final 3 games. They also did it while beating two of the better teams in the league, the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.

After finishing 4-2 in their 6-game road trip, Lakers head coach Darvin Ham revealed what the team learned about themselves during the run. “Just that trust in ourselves. If adversity presents itself, we can fight through it. We won’t pack up our tent and go home. We’re in it for the fight,” Ham said during tonight’s post-game interview.

The Lakers showed in their last three games that they can get a victory against any team in the league if they put their mind to it. The biggest victory of the Lakers’ 6-game road trip came on Thursday against the top-seeded Boston Celtics.

The Lakers were playing without their superstars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and facing one of the most talented teams in the NBA. No one expected the Lakers to come out with a victory at the Garden. However, Austin Reaves and Co. had other plans.

Against all odds, the Lakers decimated Jayson Tatum and Co. without their two best players. Austin Reaves went off for a season-high 32 points and led his team to an improbable victory. D’Angelo Russell also played great and finished with 16 points, 14 assists, and 8 rebounds. That victory was a testament to the Lakers’ will and determination to not go down without a fight.

AD decimated the Hornets’ defense and posted a triple-double with 26 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists. With LeBron and Davis back in the lineup fully healthy, the Lakers have a chance to turn their season around and get themselves out of the play-in situation.
