Ja Morant is hailed as one of the NBA’s future superstars. Fans love his tough mindset and his attempts to posterize the faces of the league. However, Ja recently found himself in hot water off the court. His notorious act involving a firearm has resulted in a harsh 25-game suspension. This equates to missing nearly a third of the season without pay. This suspension has raised concerns within the NBA, with the league hoping it will be a catalyst for Morant to reassess his behavior.
In a previous incident, Morant received an eight-day suspension for brandishing a gun during an Instagram Live session in March. At present, neither the Memphis Grizzlies nor Morant can take any action to reverse this suspension. However, Stephen A. Smith, a prominent sports commentator, recently shared some advice that he believes could assist Morant in avoiding such precarious situations.

While making his point, Smith recounted a personal story from his upbringing in Queens, New York. Smith revealed that many of his friends from that time have tragically passed away due to their involvement in the drug scene. He then disclosed that he has a few friends who have experienced time behind bars and emphasized his willingness to do anything to assist them.
However, he underscored that despite his love and loyalty to them, he cannot include them in his professional life or social circles because he is part of something much larger than himself.
