The Golden State Warriors have become one of the most successful franchises in the NBA in recent years. Fans of a certain age only equate success and winning with the Warriors. But before this unmatched stretch of success, they were one of the most inconsistent teams in the NBA. But, their fortunes turned when they drafted Stephan Curry in the 2009 NBA Draft. However, Steph didn’t have an easy start to life in the NBA as he struggled with recurring ankle injuries. A draftmate who took to the NBA like a duck to water was Brandon Jennings, but his career petered out due to niggling injuries. Little did anyone know that Stephan Curry would have such a huge impact on the game of basketball. His three-point shooting and off-the-ball movement completely revolutionized the game. Now in his 15th season as an NBA professional, Steph has established himself as one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA.

His personality and on-court brilliance led to him signing multiple brand endorsement deals. Under Armour was one such brand that struck gold when they decided to collaborate with Steph. Steph announced his latest Under Armour collaboration with his “brother” and draftmate, Brandon Jennings. Steph took to Instagram to hype up the fans about his newest release. He wrote, “From the ‘09 draft, to Under Armour… til infinity. Excited to collab with my brother Brandon Jennings on a capsule collection. Changing the Game again on 11/11.”

Brandon Jennings’ NBA career

Brandon Jennings had an unconventional path to the NBA. He skipped college to play professionally in Europe, joining the Italian team Lottomatica Roma for a season. In the 2009 NBA Draft, he was selected 10th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks. Jennings made an immediate impact, earning All-Rookie First Team honors. He spent the majority of his career with the Bucks, showcasing scoring ability and playmaking skills.

Jennings also played for the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, and Washington Wizards. Known for his quickness, he achieved some notable scoring feats, including a 55-point game as a rookie. However, injuries and inconsistency plagued his later years in the league. Jennings left the NBA and continued his professional basketball career in various international leagues.
