“I think they’re all tradable. I think they’re all touchable. For former NBA player Chandler Parsons, the Washington Wizards are ripe for a major rebuild. After all, if NBA enthusiasts learned anything, it is that the team has not improved in years. The Wizards held a 2-18 record until yesterday. Jordan Poole & Co. also made headlines for not winning even a single game in the whole month of November. However, if their recent 122-113 win against the Denver Nuggets showed anything, it is that the team does hold some hope. For Jordan Poole, it is a sign that he and his teammates shouldn’t go out scrambling for a trade anytime soon.

During the post-game presser, a reporter highlighted head coach Brian Keefe’s message about playing right and winning sustainably. When asked if a message like that is further cemented by the win over Denver, Poole agreed while claiming, “Just stick with it, if anything, I mean.”

For the 2022 NBA champ, winning and competitiveness do not take a back seat. Therefore, Poole may believe that he spoke for the whole team when he said, “So, you don’t want to jump ship, just because it’s a little bit of adversity because everything that we’ve been getting taught all season, just happened to show tonight. So, hopefully, it’s a good sign. We can find ways to, like I said, replicate that, continue to be engaged, but really embrace this. Soak this in, and see how we got it done.”

The “don’t want to jump ship” remark came when specific Wizards stars were being touted for a trade. According to reports, the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors are being highlighted as the next home for Kyle Kuzma. Kuz’s salary and inability to stay a part of Washington’s young core for long, combined with the 29-year-old’s skill set, make him a valuable trade prospect. But he isn’t the only one.

The Washington Wizards’ 6-foot-11 center, Jonas Valančiūnas, is set to become trade-eligible by December 15th. If HoopsHype reporter Michael Scotto is to be believed, then one should “Keep an eye on Los Angeles potentially dangling Vincent and future second-round picks to try and land Wizards center Jonas Valanciunas, a coveted Lakers target.”

LeBron James & Co. failed to get a Center during the off-season. Now, they might have another chance in the coming days. After all, with injuries continuing to plague the Lakers, and Anthony Davis not being fully reliable on the court, Valančiūnas may check the boxes the Purple & Gold want.

All of these rumors, however, were running rampant before the Wizards’ memorable performance last night. They were able to win against the 2023 NBA champions! Furthermore, they also potentially stole the spotlight from Nikola Jokic, who made a career-high 56 points on Saturday. Despite rumors last year that Jordan Poole himself may be part of trade talks, the player keeps showing why that shouldn’t be the case. After all, why else would one of his former teammates sing his praises?

Despite exchanging taunts, Draymond Green sends his praise towards Jordan Poole: “He’s settling in”

It’s hard to put ‘Draymond Green’ and ‘Jordan Poole’ in the same sentence. At least, without reminiscing about the bad blood between the two former teammates. Green is known for often taking things to the physical level. However, one of the Warriors’ power forward’s most infamous incidents took place when he punched Poole, during a practice session, back in October 2022. A bit of tension seemed to still be there even when the duo were on different teams. During the Warriors-Wizards game in November, Green taunted Poole, after making a buzzer beater, by pointing a finger at him. This was in retaliation to when Poole himself pointed at Green earlier.

Despite this tension, Draymond Green still held Poole in high regard when it came to performance. After the game, the 4x champ praised his former teammate, saying, “He’s (Poole’s) playing a lot better. His shot selection… you come to a new situation, as a competitor you want to show everything. I think last year he was pressing. He wanted it so bad. He’s settling in. Last year were bad shots but he wanted it so bad.”

Draymond Green had praises to hand out at that time. Therefore, he certainly would have something to say after the recent Wizards-Nuggets game too. The Washington Wizards have a lot of work to do before they can even be competitive. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the win against the Denver Nuggets was simply a fluke or a sign of things to come.
