Wembanyama delivers extraordinary performances during this season with no alternative description. Wembanyama consistently fills up the box score every night while airing no negative health updates. Sports fans can breathe easy because he has no listings for injuries which means they can look forward to watching their blockbuster franchise big man play. Wemby’s current season statistics stand at 24.5 points along with 10.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists—spectacular rookie stats.

The only Spurs player officially out for tonight is Sidy Cissoko, who’s dealing with a concussion. Not the biggest loss in the world, but it does take away some of their depth.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Wembanyama's brilliance lead the Spurs to victory against the Clippers' star-studded lineup?

Have an interesting take?

Beyond their starting lineup, the Clippers currently have additional players missing from their rotation. Three players are missing from the Clippers lineup as tension-free leave has PJ Tucker out while Cam Christie battles an ankle injury and Kris Dunn recovers from a knee problem. Rookie player Jordan Miller faces health problems therefore his availability remains unknown for tonight’s contest. Although the Clippers have Leonard and Harden expected to start this will be no pushover match for San Antonio.

Now that the Paris trip is behind them, the real question is: Can Wemby keep up the momentum? He’s been playing like an absolute superstar all season, and his performances overseas only added to the hype. He’s proving that he’s the real deal, and every game just feels like another step in his rise to stardom.

The Spurs face their next major challenge tonight when they battle the Clippers. The Spurs could compete with today’s opposition since Wemby plays at his highest level. Wemby’s performance tonight requires backup from Devin Vassell, Chris Paul, and Harrison Barnes as he doesn’t face this challenge solo. Vassell demonstrates consistency while Paul maintains order with his experience and Barnes provides versatility to the team. The Spurs need Wemby to lead the team to victory because he’s their best hope at this point.

On the other side, the Clippers are no joke. With Kawhi and Harden leading the way, they’re always going to be a tough matchup. The Spurs will need to be locked in from the jump, especially on defense, to keep this one competitive.

With Wemby ready to go, the Spurs should be in good shape to at least make this interesting. Even with some injuries on both sides, this game is all about whether Wembanyama can keep dominating as he has been. If he plays the way we know he can, the Spurs might just walk away with a win.

It won’t be easy—especially with Kawhi and Harden in the mix—but the Spurs are building something, and every game is another step forward. Keep an eye out for any last-minute injury updates, but as long as Wemby is out there, San Antonio has a fighting chance.
