The Thunder are 64-12. Read that again. Sixty-four wins. Not just the best record this season, but the best in franchise history, beating out the 2012-13 KD-Russ squad that topped out at 60. They’re No. 1 in the West, the best team in the league—Shai Gilgeous Alexander and co sure are making it look easy.
The Rockets? Yeah, they’ve been solid at 50-27, the second-best team in the West lately—but still a whopping 14 games behind OKC. Sure, they snatched a win against the Thunder back in January, but OKC took the other three, so we all know who’s really running this matchup. To make things even tougher for Houston, Dillon Brooks won’t be in the building as he’s suspended for hitting the magic number of 16 technical fouls this season. Classic Dillon. That means the Rockets are down one of their best defenders against a Thunder squad that’s been cooking all year. Not an ideal situation!
And, of course, leading OKC is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, aka Mr. Consistency. Is he playing tonight? Man, this guy’s whole life is consistency. Unless the Thunder hit us with a last-minute curveball, yeah, he’s in. He’s missed just three games all season and is on an MVP-level mission. And in the league this season? He has recorded the most total points (2,394) while going 32.8/6.3/5.0 over 73 games. MVP talk? Oh yeah, it’s real.

Now, the big question—who isn’t playing tonight for OKC?
Oklahoma City Thunder Injury Report
Good news for Thunder fans—you can breathe a sigh of relief now. Most of the main guys are healthy and ready to go as OKC takes on the Houston Rockets. No starters on the injury list this time, which is a nice break as we roll into the final stretch of the season. The only regular missing is Jaylin Williams, who’s been ruled out for tonight due to an ankle injury. As such, expect some minor tweaks in the frontcourt rotation, but overall, nothing too major.
Aside from that, it’s the usual names on the injury report. Ajay Mitchell (toe), Alex Ducas (quad), and Ousmane Dieng (calf) are all out. They’ve been in and out of the list recently, but since none of them are key rotation pieces, their absence won’t shake things up too much.

A name worth watching? Nikola Topic. Still out with a knee injury, but he was seen getting some light shots up recently. There hasn’t been any clear return date yet, but any progress is a good sign.
Bottom line — OKC is rolling into this one with a full-strength squad (minus Jaylin), and that’s always a win.
