The Philadelphia 76ers are on the road to face the Charlotte Hornets in tonight’s NBA Cup action. The Sixers are entering this game with a win in their last matchup against the Pistons on Saturday night. Tyrese Maxey was the leader in scoring for Philly as he netted 28 points and Paul George played the role of a facilitator as he dished out eight assists. However, one member of Philadelphia’s Big 3 did not feature in this win, as Embiid did not play on the night.
Will the 76ers superstar play tonight? Well no, Joel Embiid will remain sidelined for tonight’s clash against the Charlotte Hornets. According to reports, Embiid will be missing this game because of his prevailing left knee management and personal reasons as well. Furthermore, this is the 15th game of the season which the Sixers will miss this season.

The team since the start of the season ad made it clear that he won’t be playing back-to-back games so it’s a possibility that he will be back for the game against the Magic back at their home court. Currently, the Sixers are 4-14 for the season and need to pick up the pace otherwise they will be out of contention for the playoff race, and without arguably their best player on the court the odds definitely will not favor them against the Hornets tonight.
Well, at the moment it might be easier to name the Sixers players who are not injured right now. However, there are a couple of bright spots in the injury report as Tyrese Maxey and Paul George are fit to play. Let’s get more insight into Philadelphia’s injury report as they look to build some momentum and get their season back on track.
Philadelphia 76ers injury report ahead of the Hornets matchup
While the Sixers faithful will take a sigh of relief with two of their stars fit to play, they are running thin on centers as Embiid has been ruled out and backup big man Andre Drummond suffered an ankle injury and is yet to make a comeback.

Furthermore, veteran guard Kyle Lowry remains out with a hip problem, and no return date is made available as of now. Two more players are on the report including Reggie Jackson and forward Caleb Martin. As for Jackson, he is questionable for tonight due to a knee injury and Martin is still recovering from a back issue and will be a game-day decision for the Sixers.

Philadelphia 76ers’ predicted lineup
Well, with Joel Embiid’s absence, the Sixers will have to tweak their lineup but that’s not something they haven’t already faced this season. Additionally, players such as Guerschon Yabusele, KJ Martin, and center Adem Bona could see an increase in their minutes on the court.
This is how the Sixers could line up for the clash against the Hornets:
PG: Tyrese Maxey SG: Kelly Oubre Jr. SF: Paul George PF: KJ Martin C: Guerschon Yabusele

Although it won’t be an easy battle for Philly with Maxey and George on the court they can definitely give a good account of themselves and who knows? Even grab a win perhaps.
