The reigning NBA champions, the Boston Celtics, have a tough road ahead of them if they want to repeat as champions. The next stop on that road, both literally and figuratively, is in San Antonio as they take on the Spurs. And even though the Spurs aren’t in the best form right now, they are still formidable opponents. So, the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will need to bring their A-games.

However, with Brown missing 3 out of the last 5 games for the Celtics, concerns about his fitness linger. So to alleviate your worries, let’s have a look at what the injury report says.

Boston Celtics Injury Report – Will Jaylen Brown play against the San Antonio Spurs?

Brown revealed after the Celtics defeated the Phoenix Suns that he was on a minutes restriction because of the knee injury he suffered last week. “I’m still working my way back, just building up. I’ve been on a minute restriction, but still just making the right steps,” said one half of the Celtics’ star duo.

Now here’s the good news. Jaylen Brown may be on a minutes restriction but he’s nowhere to be found on the injury report Boston submitted for the Spurs game. But there are still others on the report. One of the more concerning ones is Payton Pritchard. He’s on the report listed as QUESTIONABLE with a hip issue. The man hasn’t missed a game since February 4.

Another player who is QUESTIONABLE for the upcoming game is Al Horford. He has missed the last two games for the Celtics because of a sprained toe. And this injury may keep him out of the upcoming San Antonio Spurs game. We’ll only find out come gametime. Similarly, Xavier Tillman is also QUESTIONABLE because of a sprained knee joint.

Now that Jaylen Brown is no longer out, the Celtics have all of their starters ready to go. And this puts Joe Mazzulla in a comfortable situation despite some of his bench players being iffy for this matchup. So here’s who we think Joe may go with for the upcoming Spurs game:

The Spurs are missing two of their biggest stars in Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox. With the Celtics being an uphill battle for any team regardless of injuries, missing two of their best players doesn’t bode well for the Spurs. And we reckon the Celtics will have an easy time against them tonight. But then again, this is the NBA and we know better than to say that the Celtics’ victory is a guarantee. What do you think about this matchup, though? Let us know!
