Victor Wembanyama has ignited the Preseason with his unbelievable plays. The French Baller’s stardom has hit yet another level which is benefiting the San Antonio Spurs in the ongoing action. After two dominant performances, the Center is now going to embrace yet another challenge. He will take on the Texas rivals in the battle of two sprouting teams.
The rival team’s Jabari Smith Jr. seems to have taken a leap in the sophomore year, while Jalen Green is looking crisp as always. But will this budding young guard be ready as his Houston Rockets play next against the San Antonio Spurs?

Jalen Green’s status for the game
During the Pelicans’ thumping, the scintillating guard dropped 12 points. Against the Pacers, he scored 11 points. This is by no means the reflection of what will happen during the Regular Season. Increased minutes and a much more stable lineup will mean a big bloom. He can average more than 20 points again and form a threatening backcourt with Fred VanVleet.
Since his next game is a preseason game, he can afford to rest to prepare for the bigger stage. Locked On Rockets pod host Jackson Gatlin informs that Jalen Green is going to miss the preseason game against the Spurs due to a “toenail problem”.

The decision may have been made to avoid further strain on the toenail and avoid the way to an excruciating tear in the toe. This is a great window to stem the flow of any developing injury issue.
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a little longer for the Green-Wemby clash. While we wait for the showdown, what can be the realistic ceiling for the Rockets during the upcoming season?
Will the Rockets make the Postseason?
One thing is for sure, the Rockets roster looks much better than last season. They lacked someone like Fred Van Vleet who can take over games offensively. Whereas Dillon Brooks bolsters the defensive end. The trio of Green, Van Vleet, and Brooks look solid. Jabari Smith Jr. has improved on the offensive and looks hungry for the season.

His defense is incredible and if he ups his scoring, the Rockets will be a force. Alperen Sengun in the middle is a work in progress like the whole team.
