Home hasn’t been the Sacramento Kings’ strength lately. Moreover, their three straight defeats have worsened the situation, almost crushing the fanbase’s morale. However, there’s still a long way to go. And with a strong roster like theirs, they could easily turn things around in California. But what if their ace, Domantas Sabonis, doesn’t stick around on Sunday to face their Eastern rivals, the Indiana Pacers?

Well, Sabonis was dealing with a back injury, but he received the green light from the medical team, and in the last game against the Lakers, his name was cleared from the Kings’ injury report. While Domantas Sabonis escaped the injury list, there’s still someone who couldn’t. So, let’s have a look at the injury report of both the teams readying themselves for a matchup.

Kings Injury Report

For the Kings, no one will be ruled out except Devin Carter. The rookie hasn’t been able to showcase his talent in the Sacramento jersey yet because of a shoulder injury. The labrum in his left shoulder was torn during a pre-draft workout, and he is currently dealing with the injury. Although his condition is improving, the 22-year-old is not fit enough to join the team as of now.

While the Kings’ injury report is rather clean, is the Pacers’ report seeing a similar fate, or is there a different tale unfolding?

Pacers Injury Report

On the flip side, the Pacers have a lengthier injury report. The name that tops the list is Aaron Nesmith, who has been out for over a month. The swingman sprained his ankle in early November during a game against the Pelicans and hasn’t returned yet.

Meanwhile, Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman are both dealing with season-ending torn Achilles injuries, as per ESPN. The only player with a slim chance of appearing in tonight’s East-West clash is Ben Sheppard. The two-way guard is listed as questionable due to a strained left oblique. The franchise will make a final decision on his status after further monitoring his condition.

Now it’ll be interesting to see whether the Kings can defeat the Pacers with a stronger lineup.

Can Domantas Sabonis and Co. finally break the losing streak?

While the Kings have recorded a 0-3 record in their last three games, the Pacers have secured a 3-0 run. However, that doesn’t conclude anything. The home team can easily flip the script this time with their balanced roster.

Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox, known for their powerful offense, have been nothing short of impressive this season, averaging 21.3 points and 26.2 points, respectively. Still, their individual performances haven’t translated into team success so far. The team has currently slipped to the 12th spot in the Western Conference standings, whereas the Pacers hold the 8th spot in the East with a 13-15 record.

Sure, the Kings have an advantage on offense and Sabonis also plays a key role in defense with his outstanding rebounds. However, holding back Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam will be a challenge for them, though it’s not impossible. Could the Eastern side take the upper hand and extend their winning streak to four, or will they take an L, dropping to a 13-16 record and giving the Golden 1 Center crowd a sigh of relief after back-to-back defeats? Let’s find out at 6:00 PM ET.
