The Milwaukee Bucks are rolling, but there’s no time to celebrate. Fresh off a hard-fought win over the Sixers, they’re back in action Monday night against the Golden State Warriors. With Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined, the spotlight is on Damian Lillard and Kyle Kuzma. But the big question is—will they even be playing?
Well, the Bucks haven’t released their official injury report yet since they’re on a back-to-back. But over on the Warriors’ side, Jonathan Kuminga has already been ruled out, and Steph Curry is questionable with quad soreness. If Curry sits, that’s a massive break for Milwaukee—but not exactly great news for fans hoping for a star-studded showdown.
Bucks injury report isn’t out yet since they’re on a back to back but Golden State has ruled Jonathan Kuminga OUT and lists Steph Curry as QUESTIONABLE with quad soreness.
No Steph of course would help the Bucks chances quite a bit although would be sad for the Milwaukee fans.

Lillard, though? He just reminded everyone why he’s him. On Super Bowl Sunday, while most eyes were elsewhere, he put on a show—torching the Sixers for a season-high 43 points, plus eight assists and seven rebounds. Kuzma wasn’t too shabby either, stepping up with 13 points, eight boards, and five assists. That trade? Looking better by the day.
But now, it’s on to the next one. With Giannis and Pat Connaughton both nursing calf strains, the Bucks will need every bit of firepower they can get. Whether that include Lillard and Kuzma we’ll have to wait and see. Monday’s marquee matchup? No question—it’s Dame vs. Steph.
Damian Lillard vs. Steph Curry, the star guard showdown
Curry had the United Center in shambles, sparking a ridiculous 73-28 run in the second half against the Bulls. He dropped 34 points, with 24 of those coming in the third quarter alone. The man was unconscious.

Through the season Lillard holds the statistical edge so far, averaging 25.5 points and 7.5 assists as Milwaukee’s secondary option, compared to Curry’s 23.0 points and 6.1 assists. And the thing is, Steph hasn’t had a real second option most of the season—until Jimmy Butler arrived and put up 25 in their last game.
The key stat? Free throws. Jimmy got to the line 13 times and netting 11 of those, something the Warriors have struggled with all season. Both teams are 2-3 in their last five games, meaning consistency has been an issue.

Without Giannis, the Bucks will lean heavily on Lillard, who has been putting up stellar numbers—averaging 32.8 points and 10.2 assists while shooting an elite 48/46/98% split.
With both teams battling inconsistency, Monday’s game could come down to which superstar guard shines the brightest.
