The Phoenix Suns have been navigating a rough patch, enduring a five-game skid fueled by injuries. Fans have been anxiously hoping for the roster to get back to full strength. To dominate the Western Conference and strike fear into opponents, the Suns need their “Big Three,” including Devin Booker, on the court functioning together. Bradley Beal finally returned on Tuesday after sitting out five games, which gave fans a slight glimmer of hope.
Impressively, he played in back-to-back games against the Lakers and Nets right away. But let’s be real—he might’ve been a little too eager to hit the ground running… Beal has already missed 7 games in Phoenix’s season, and it’s clearly taken a toll on the team’s momentum. After a promising 9-2 start, the Suns have stumbled to a 10-8 record, dropping 7 of their last 9 matchups heading into tonight’s game at the Footprint Center.
Bradley Beal has ended up on the injury report once again. Minutes before the game, the hoopster was categorized as out for the matchup against the Warriors because of a calf injury. Joining him on the bench will be Jusuf Nurkic, out with a quad contusion.

Beal hasn’t played a full season since 2019, managing only one year with 60 games since then. Injuries are an ongoing concern, especially with the Suns relying on Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker to lead their championship push. Phoenix Suns’ focus must be on keeping its stars healthy, as the relentless competition in the Western Conference leaves little room for error.
KD’s absence was felt deeply by the Suns after missing seven games with a left calf strain. It’s no secret that Phoenix has struggled without him, showing just how much he means to their success. “Not having one of them is a big loss; not having both of them was huge,” Suns point guard Tyus Jones admitted before the Lakers match.
The team risks burnout by pushing too hard in regular-season games, so building a safety net before the playoffs is crucial. With their six-home-game streak nearing its end, the Phoenix side is eager to regain stability. Whether Bradley Beal returns soon or frustratingly remains sidelined, the Suns must turn things around to avoid falling further behind in the standings.

Phoenix Suns significantly shorthanded without Bradley Beal and a key absence
During Wednesday’s loss to the Nets, Bradley Beal experienced tightness in his left calf and tweaked his ankle. Throughout his career, Beal has faced the Warriors 19 times, posting averages of 20.3 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game. Therefore, the Suns will be losing a crucial piece against the Golden State. He has been hurting the Warriors every time they’ve met.
Initially, head coach, Mike Budenholzer listed Jusuf Nurkic as probable for Saturday’s game following Friday’s practice. However, his ankle injury turned out to be more serious than expected, ruling him out for the matchup too. His next potential appearance could come on Tuesday when the Suns face the Spurs.

Along with them on the injury report is Collin Gillespie. The Suns announced on Tuesday that Gillespie fractured his right ankle and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. On a two-way contract, Gillespie has appeared in just one NBA game this season, logging only three minutes of play.
