Still trying to process the day, here we are, Anthony Davis is officially a Mavericks player. The noise have finally reduced and we are all set to face the reality. Tonight, the Mavs take on the Philadelphia 76ers in a much-awaited clash. Both teams have a lot to prove but above all the burning question is, will Anthony Davis lace up and don the blue and white fit? Let’s find out.
Last time we saw AD on the court was on January 28th when the Lakers faced the Sixers and suffered an embarrassing loss against the short-handed side. It was the same game where Davis headed to the locker room 10 minutes into the game. Now, the superstar has the opportunity face the same opponent but in a different jersey.
Unfortunately, Anthony Davis won’t be lacing up, as the team has ruled him out tonight, citing an abdominal muscle strain. Apart from him, the team has listed Dereck Lively II and Dwight Powell. So, basically, the Mavs will face the Sixers without three bigs. At the same time, the Mavs can witness the debut of another ex-Laker, Max Christie.

Notably, ahead of tonight’s game, the duo delivered a wholesome video message to the Mavs fans before setting their foot on Texas soil. “Mavs fans, your boy AD here… We’re excited to be a part of the organization, be a part of the team… We’re going to do something special with y’all man. (Win) a lot of games. We’re excited and we can’t wait to get on the floor (to) support the team and do what we do best. Go Mavs,” said AD sitting along Christie. To say the least, the Mavs are in for a treat in the coming days.

On the other hand, the Sixers continue to ride with the shorthanded side. They will return to the floor after their fighting effort against the Celtics. Except for the last quarter, Tyrese Maxey & Co. dominated the C’s and looked like they would defeat the defending champs once again. Anyway, riding with confidence, the team can upset the vulnerable Mavs team. Moreover, the team has listed Joel Embiid in the Questionable category, there’s a possibility of witnessing the giant in action. So, who do you think will win tonight? Let us know in the comments.
