As the league jumped into the 2024 offseason, the NBA world would flush out raining trade opinions. And, over the last few years, LeBron James has been the frontrunner of the dramatic trade options. Moreover, with the superstar yet to sign his player option with the LA Lakers, the hoops community will witness more such opinions. As expected, a fan dropped a trade suggestion involving the Phoenix Suns, only to get shut down by the Lakers insider, Jovan Buha. This sparked a heated debate and left fans questioning, “Why would you trade LeBron James?”

Ever wondered if the Lakers would ever trade LeBron James? In the latest episode of Buha’s Block, The Athletic reporter responded to a fan’s question which read, “Could the Lakers and Suns do a Bron for Devin Booker trade?” Buha immediately surprised everyone, saying that it’s “technically” possible if the teams work on matching the salaries. However, he immediately backtracked and said, “The Lakers are not going to trade LeBron James.” Furthermore, he went on to state his reason why the Lakers won’t trade the superstar for Devin Booker.

The reason wasn’t anywhere closer to comparing King James’ balling prowess with D-book. Buha appreciated the 4x NBA All-Star ability on the court. He added, “If you’re Phoenix, why would you trade Devin Booker for LeBron James,” reasoning that Booker himself was a top-15 contender.

Buha further argued that the Phoenix Suns would rather have Booker for the next 7-10 years rather than trading in James for 2 seasons. Moreover, Jovan Buha also stressed that if there was a trade involving LeBron James, it would be carried out by the superstar himself.

And with the superstar yet to sign his player option with the Lakers, the NBA world might witness a possible big move from the superstar. Speaking of that, Jovan Buha also revealed that it would “make sense” if James moved to the Philadelphia 76ers in the off-season.

Does LeBron James have Phoenix Suns on his cards?

As the NBA offseason heats up, trade rumors are flying, and one intriguing possibility has caught fans’ attention: Could LeBron James be traded for Devin Booker? As Jovan Buha pointed out, it’s technically possible that the team traded him for Booker. However, he also listed out the reasons why the Suns won’t do that. At the same time, there’s a possibility. The superstar’s son, Bronny James, has so far only trained with the Lakers and Suns ahead of the draft.

The Lakers, which has the 17th pick, could easily pick the guard and also retain LeBron James in their roster. But, the team also has its eyes on Zack Eddey for that pick. If the Lakers intend to rope in the youngster in the available 55th pick, the Suns could lunge forward to pick him up in the 21st pick.

Eventually, with this possibility, James could most likely move to the Valley. Moreover, several teams have also expressed their interest in roping Bronny into their side. As of now, there isn’t any official information on the superstar’s decision. The league might witness more speculation after the Draft in a few more days. With the clear picture of Bronny’s future team, the speculators would come up with the possible trade options.
