Kyle Anderson debunks the story of why he chose China

In his documentary – Kyle Anderson’s “Chinese Destiny”, the man touted to be in ‘Slow Motion’ reminisced on the encounters he had with fans after his 2018 trip to China. It is customary for NBA players to be paraded with fans at the arenas. They sign autographs and watch their faces go into warm smiles. It’s their way of spreading happiness.

It was in reverse in Anderson. It was through their emotions that he had the epiphany to declare for Chinese citizenship.

“Before the games, I always sign autographs for the Timberwolves and there would be some Chinese fans saying ‘you know, we hope you play for our team and we hope you enjoyed’. So that love and support stuck with me,” he said during his documentary.
