The Warriors’ misery continues. The team currently ranks 11th in the West and struggles to stay afloat. And they hope to shake off Saturday’s loss against the Lakers by defeating the Jazz tonight. However, it might prove a bigger challenge than expected because the Bay Area franchise will play without their superstar, Stephen Curry!
Yes, the Baby-Faced Assassin has made a last-minute entry to the injury report and will not suit up. The reason? “His knees are bothering him.” Steve Kerr revealed. Well, Steph has been dealing with lingering knee issues throughout the season. It forced him to miss several games on occasion. Especially back-to-backs.
Even tonight, Curry is getting a much-needed rest because he will probably play against the OKC Thunder, tomorrow. “With the back-to-back, we’re hopeful that he’ll play tomorrow. It felt like with three games in the next four nights with his knees where they are, let’s be smart about it and go from there,” Kerr added.

Obviously, the OKC clash is a much higher stakes game than tonight because they are West’s top-seeded team. And the Warriors need Steph in the lineup to boost their chances of winning against them. Although the lingering injury woes and his age have affected his performance this season, Curry is still the best player on his team, averaging 22.3 points and 6.4 assists.
So, the Warriors need to be extremely cautious about his health, especially because they are already dealing with multiple injured stars.

Warriors provide worrying Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga update amid Stephen Curry’s absence
Apart from Curry, the Bay Area franchise is also playing without Draymond and Kuminga. Well, Green has been out with a calf strain and the latest reports revealed he will miss at least two more games after tonight’s Lakers clash because of the injury.
However, the former DPOY is making decent progress as the team stated, “He has been doing light on-court work and is expected to rejoin parts of team practices in the coming days. His status will be monitored day-to-day at that point.” As per Kerr, Green will probably return to practice this weekend.

Adding to the concerns, JK is out with an ankle injury and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. He too has been making decent progress and will begin light individual work this week. However, he is expected to return after the trade deadline.
So, Kerr’s squad is going to remain shorthanded for a while. Of course, this makes Steph’s health and availability even more crucial. Hopefully, we will see him suit up against the Thunder tomorrow.
