Unfazed by the trade rumors surrounding him, Kevin Durant took a trip to Sweden. Since the Suns superstar had a disappointing post-season, getting swept in the first round, the NBA world didn’t see much of KD until he rocked a fancy basketball court in full black oversized attire in Stockholm. One might wonder what’s Slim Reaper doing there. It’s not just an off-season vacation but also a trip for a business cause.

The Suns’ superstar flew down to take part in the Brilliant Minds conference. Durant represented his firm, Boardroom. It’s a sports media and entertainment company that the superstar co-founded alongside Rich Kleiman, a longtime agent of KD. The purpose of the conference was to act as a platform to generate innovative ideas from creative personalities around the globe. However, Kevin Durant had time to keep the local crowd engaged. A video of him sporting black Balenciaga shades and hooping on an open court went viral.

Fans surrounded him to take his pictures and autographs. He attempted a few shots from the arc and tried some of his iconic middies to keep them entertained. On a side note, while he seems all sorted for the upcoming season, the Suns’ front office is on a wildfire.

Ahead of the 2023-24 season, the team roped in Bradley Beal to form a super team with KD and Devin Booker. But, the trio barely had the chance to play together in the regular season, due to frequent injuries. By the time they managed to pull their socks; they got swept in the playoffs first round. It gets worse. It seems like a tough chance for the Suns to go in with the same roster for the upcoming season because of a financial deadlock. This brings us to the popular question that some ask with undeniable concern.

Will Kevin Durant continue with the Suns?

Well, there isn’t any official confirmation. But, there are enough reasons to argue that the superstar won’t remain in the Valley side. For starters, the Suns have crossed the second apron tax, and it stripped off some of their privileges. The team cannot rope in a free agent unless it’s a player with veteran minimum deals. Moreover, they can’t aggregate the player’s salary and many other restrictions.

On top of it, the 35-year-old superstar could be the first one to be traded to save the franchise from this situation. Moreover, the Bleacher Report listed Kevin Durant on top of their mock trade list. They expect OKC to swap Josh Giddey, Jaylin Williams, and Lu Dort for KD in the off-season. This immediately caught the attention of the NBA world because of KD’s history with Oklahoma City.
