It’s hard to slip away from the public eye, especially if you’re LeBron James’ son. Tonight, Team USA went viral on social media after decimating Belize by 96 points in the FIBA U-18 AmeriCup. While everyone celebrated the future stars of the country, they also raised questions regarding Bryce’s absence. They had shortlisted a 12-man roster for the tournament in Argentina. Notably, all the players were in the 17-18 years age bracket.

However, Bryce, who is currently 16 years old, didn’t make it to the cut. Nevertheless, Team USA, after winning the first game comfortably against the Argentina boys, decimated the Belize boys with a 150-54 win. It wasn’t a one-man show from the rising stars. Darius Acuff Jr. led the attack with 23 points, supported by 7 other players with points in double digits! On the other hand, Bryce instead has another important matter to take care of.

A few days ago, the 16-year-old rising star shared an elated emotion with his social media followers, after making it to the national side. USA Basketball announced his name for the U-17 training camp, which is scheduled for June 15. James Jr. shared the screenshot of the players selected for the camp and wrote “Blessed” on his Instagram stories. The guard will have to travel to Istanbul, Turkey to represent his country at the FIBA U-17 World Cup from June 29-July 7.

Coincidentally, LeBron James himself has a crucial phase of national duty coming his way. After Team USA’s disappointing run in the 2023 FIBA WC, the superstar volunteered for a super team alongside Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant to redeem the country’s honor at the Paris Olympics. Nevertheless, both father and son can prepare for their upcoming challenges together.

The bright basketball future of LeBron’s son Bryce James!

The 6 ‘4 shooting guard has a clear path in front of him to become the third professional baller in the family. Bryce can follow his elder brother Bronny’s footpath. Unfortunately, for Bronny, the 19-year-old had a rough path, taking in the hate from the public and suffering a cardiac arrest. On top of it, he had a poor freshman year at USC after joining the side with less time to prepare.

Nevertheless, he finally found his success by impressing the NBA world with his Draft Combine performance. Notably, Bronny might get picked in the NBA Draft in the coming days.

Whereas in the case of Bryce, the guard from Sierra Canyon High School has two offers from Duquesne and Ohio State. He still has time to select his preferred college, possibly after his national duty. Following his brother’s path, he may even look to get into USC.

On the other hand, Bronny hasn’t represented Team USA except for his performance at the Nike Hoop Summit. Bryce’s involvement in the competitive tournament would do him the world of good, as it will bring in more experience before he enters college basketball.
