One thing you have to admire about Paul George’s wife is her brilliant sense of humor. How else would you describe her hilarious yet adorable engagement post? “You may have gotten my ring size wrong but you get everything else right. Thank you for making this my best birthday yet.. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you and celebrate many more!” the mother of three wrote on her IG post after PG proposed to his girlfriend on her 30th birthday during their trip to Mexico.

Daniela Rajic has been nothing but a pillar of support for Paul George at every step of his life. Be it on the court or off the court. As such, it’s only right we delve a little into Mrs. George.

Daniela Rajic is Paul George’s Serbian queen

Perhaps this little nugget of information might get lost in the general details about Rajic, but she has a bit of Serbian lineage in her. That said, the entrepreneur was raised in Queens, New York. In fact, their third child, Paul Vuk George was named to keep the long line of Paul George’s tradition going and to honor his wife’s Serbian roots. “Vuk” in Serbian translates to wolf.

Now that we have got that out of the way, why don’t we move to her entrepreneurial interests?

Two friends come together to create a successful brand

Sarah Patterson, former NBA player, Patrick Patterson’s wife, and Rajic became friends while their respective partners were playing for the OKC Thunder. The two came up with the idea of launching a swimwear line, Nude Swim, making it a reality in 2020.

“The whole purpose of this was to create something we both love. … so we’re like, why wouldn’t we work a little bit more and create everything that we want to order and that we never find?” Patterson recalled in a 2019 interview with The Oklahoman. 

In doing so, the pair gave everything careful consideration. It’s rare that an NBA player would spend their entire career at one place. In fact, 2019 saw Paul George move to LA. The same year, OKC and Patterson also agreed to a buyout, making him an unrestricted free agent. Luckily for the best friends, Patrick signed with the Clippers, as well.

So, while this was good for the women, they had designed their business to be virtually operated. “We just realized this kind of business is the ideal business to run while our men are doing what they do just because we can take it and go anywhere really with it. We move so much, bathing suits are this little — I can just send it, pack my car up and go,” Daniela explained.

Motivated by the success, they got together in 2021 to launch a women’s boutique, SD Picks. It was later rebranded to Luxe Picks and per the website, “Luxe Picks aims to carry top quality, trendy and fashion-forward staples and accessories you can keep in your closet for years to come.”

However, it seems to be run solely by Sarah Patterson.

PG’s wife is a wanderlust

And perhaps that’s exactly why George decided to ask her hand in marriage while they were vacationing in Mexico. A quick look through Rajic’s IG account and you will see that a lot of the photos are of her family in scenic backdrops. Those looking for an organized account can turn to her Instagram Highlights.

Each country or city she’s visited is neatly labeled. They include places like Bahamas, Italy, St. Barths, etc. Her profile, on the other hand, showcases snippets from daily life.

When Paul George and Daniela Rajic decided to tie the knot

As mentioned above, the couple started dating in 2013. And nearly seven years later, PG-13 got down on his knee to ask for his long-time girlfriend’s hand in marriage. This happened in November 2020. Following the sweet surprise, they welcomed their baby boy the next year. And finally, they exchanged their vows in on June 25, 2022, in an intimate ceremony in California.

They were, however, just getting started. A month later, the pair hosted a lavish after-wedding celebration in Italy. Of course, the party also featured a host of fellow NBA players as well as close friends of the newlyweds. And making the whole thing sweeter was the presence of their three children. Before Paul Vuk George, the 76ers star and his spouse welcomed two girls – Olivia and Natasha, born in 2014 and 2017, respectively.

There is no doubt that Mrs. George will continue to support her husband in the new chapter of his life. Although PG managed to put a ring on Daniela’s finger (even if it was the pinkie), the 34-year-old has yet to add one to his decorated resume. Hopefully, this year is the one!
