“I’ve always been a huge sports fan. … And as much as I love the game, I’m unfortunately not very good at basketball,” Jason Arasheben, more popularly known as Jason of Beverly Hills, told Iconic Life in 2019. Well, the 46-year-old did not need to be good at the sport to make an impact in the NBA community. Actually, in any sport.
The jeweler to the stars has designed championship rings for nearly every major league sport. It was a journey that started when he dared to submit a bid to craft the ring for the 2009 Los Angeles Lakers. Talking about their first experience, Arasheben recalled to The New York Times that he and his staff occasionally slept in the factory in sleeping bags. Furthermore, they completed the last ring just 30 minutes before the unveiling ceremony! The stress! But the hard work and dedication turned out to be a domino effect.
The Lakers’ second consecutive title with Kobe Bryant in 2010 showcased the craftsmanship of Jason of Beverly Hills in their championship rings. This was followed by the rings for the Warriors’ four titles, the Lakers’ 2020 ring, the Bucks’ 2021 ring, the Nuggets’ 2023 ring, and the 2022 ring for the WNBA’s Aces. Now, it appears that the reigning champions, the Boston Celtics, have also enlisted his services for their championship ring.

In his Instagram story, Jason Arasheben shared a poster that reads, “2 DAYS TO GO. RING DELIVERY. OCTOBER 22, 2024. JASON OF BEVERLY HILLS.” The Knicks will witness the Celtics raising their championship banner and receiving the coveted NBA rings at TD Garden before they kick off the regular season. There is no doubt that Jason has pulled off another masterpiece, but we are going to have to wait.
In the meantime, why don’t we take a quick look at how the man ended up in this line of business?
Jason of Beverly Hills might as well have been Attorney Arasheben
Yup! You read that right. The future that Jason’s parents envisioned for him was not one where he could utilize his creative talents. Instead, they imagined him spending his days arguing, debating, and negotiating for his clients in a stuffy courtroom. He enrolled at UCLA, dedicating himself to the study of law and courtroom preparation. However, there was always that voice in the back of his mind, urging him to unleash his creativity.
Once he decided to immerse himself fully in that end, there was no stopping him. And the first step was buying cheap plastic and whatever trinkets he could find in downtown LA. According to Only Natural Diamonds August 2024 article, he had convinced UCLA to let him sell the products at the campus for 20% of his earnings going to the student body. Soon, it expanded to six campuses.

Of course, the law career wasn’t enough to satisfy his hunger or his creative urges. That’s when Jason turned to designing his own pieces. At that point, he was earning more than his fellow lawyers. Interestingly, his father, who worked as a realtor, also had a passion for jewelry-making. However, because he viewed it more as a hobby and his own attempts didn’t pan out, Jason’s dad was not happy with his son’s decision. Unfortunately, this led to a two-and-a-half-year period where they didn’t speak to each other.
None of it, though, detracted the young Jason from his dreams of grandeur. He would spend nights attending parties and events at the legendary Beverly Wilshire Hotel, talking and meeting with potential clients (really, anyone who was willing to listen), showing them his sketches. “I was there 365 nights a year, hoping to land one or two clients,” Arasheben recalled. After seven years of pitching himself to the GM of the venue, he finally managed to land a retail space.
And from there, it’s been an insane uphill climb. Apparently, his mother sometimes looks at his designs and asks, “Who on Earth would ever want to buy that?” Simply because Jason of Beverly Hills’s designs are anything but ordinary! The list of his prestigious clientele is pretty much the Who’s Who of celebrity A-listers, be it in the sports field or entertainment. Names like A$AP Rocky, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Nick Cannon (who can forget his $2 million Tom Ford with 14,000 round diamonds worth 340 carats he wore for the Season 9 finale of AGT?), Drake, and more recently, Cowboys’ QB, Dak Prescott. And many more.
