Donovan Mitchell hilariously revealed the teammate who broke his nose. The Cleveland Cavaliers star returned to the court against New Orleans after missing 7 straight games with a knee injury. However, following two underwhelming games, he was again ruled out for tonight’s game against the Pacers, stating a nasal fracture. While everyone was clueless, as Mitchell left unharmed in the last game, he cleared it with his recent post.

Spida took to his X handle and wrote, “Great to have T-Time back… even tho he broke my mf nose @RealTristan13,” with a laughing emoji. It was none other than towering center Tristan Thompson.

33-year-old Thompson himself returned to the Cavs this season after spending his last three seasons with four franchises. On top of it, he also faced a 25-game suspension for violating the anti-drug policy of the league. He became the third player in this season to face a long suspension.

Thompson returned to the floor in the Cavs’ Saturday night game against the Houston Rockets. Coming off the bench, he dropped 5 points with 1 assist on a losing cause. In the same game, Donovan Mitchell also had an underwhelming night, dropping 13 points with a poor 4-13 FG.

The 27-year-old star’s performance considerably dropped after his return from the knee injury. In his two games, Spida averaged 13.5 points in his 27-minute stay. Moreover, Thompson might have done a favor for the Cavs to help their star guard get his groove back in his rehab. At the same time, the Cavs have managed to win tonight’s game without Mitchell.

Cavs shine against Pacers without Donovan Mitchell

The Indiana Pacers hosted the Cavs tonight for an exciting thriller. The Pacers went off to a flying start, dropping 34 points in the first quarter with a 9-point lead. However, the Wine and Gold team immediately replied with a counter-attack in the next two quarters and took a 7-point lead.

In the last quarter, both teams strengthened their defense and it was already too late for the Pacers to regain their momentum. In Mitchell’s absence, Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert put together 23 points each, supported by the latest entrant, Marcus Morris Sr. with 14 points.

Tristan Thompson, in his second outing after the suspension, dropped only 2 points in his 14-minute stay. Importantly, it will act as a massive boost for the Cavs heading into the last stretch of the regular season. Mitchell could return anytime, even with a face mask to protect his nose like the other stars in the league. What do you make of Mitchell’s hilarious post on Thompson? Let us know in the comments.
