It looks like Scoot Henderson has found his rhythm in the league, making some serious moves lately. Before his recent injury, the 21-year-old point guard was averaging 12.4 points, 3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. It seems like he’s living by his previous words, “no matter what happens, just continue to get better for myself and continue to get better for my teammates.”
Scoot’s path to the NBA wasn’t a typical one. Despite being a five-star recruit, he decided to take a different route. He joined the NBA G League Ignite at just 17 years old, making him the youngest player ever to play in the league. That bold move paid off as he went on to captain the G League Next Up Game, and since then, he’s continued to grow as a player. While Scoot’s on-court successes are well documented, the people behind his success are worth looking at.
