Friendly rivalries often add an extra layer of excitement for fans. One such rivalry that’s been brewing on golf courses rather than their typical playing fields is between NBA star Stephen Curry and NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes. While the world has grown accustomed to witnessing the two athletes dominate their respective sports, their recent showdown at the course was exciting as well as exhilarating. Curry found himself seeking revenge against Mahomes for a loss at ‘The Match’.

Parallel to this sporting drama, a different narrative was unfolding off-field, one involving Ayesha Curry. 

Stephen Curry’s sweet victory on the golf course

The tension has been palpable ever since their last duo match held on June 29, 2023. Kansas City Chiefs‘ Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce pulled off a victory against NBA stars Curry and Klay Thompson in a charity golf event called ‘The Match’. The NFL stars won the match 3 and 2, going three up after winning the first three holes and maintaining their lead throughout the game.

But as fate would have it, a part of a larger golf event, saw Curry and Mahomes pitted against each other in a friendly yet intense rivalry. During a championship practice round, Steph managed to beat Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback, by just one yard finally. 

The victory was particularly satisfying for Curry looking forward to the moment of redemption.
