“All you need to know about Devin’s eye for design is in the way he dresses,” shares Kathleen Clements, who, along with her son and design partner, Tommy Clements, lent a helping hand in shaping the interior designing and crafting of the home. “Everything he wears is cool and stylish, but in a very natural way. It’s not something everyone can pull off.” 

According to Clements, this personalized touch also finds a unique resonance in Devin Booker’s luxurious retreat. Working within the existing architectural ambiance, Clements and her team joined hands with L.A.-based Karan Brady Interiors, to blend the new home with custom-styled furniture that can easily accommodate the seven-foot-tall physiques. “Devin loves to entertain, to be around his family and friends. It just so happens his friends are NBA players,” Clements shares with a laugh.

That meant they had their tasks cut out. They had to craft 12-foot-long sofas and a poker table suitable for his fellow NBA champs and complement the vintage-styled furniture with artistic and aesthetically pleasing furnishings that take a leaf out from Booker’s personal art collection. According to the designer, “Devin is very sophisticated when it comes to design. He has an incredible way of combining older items that look lived-in with objects that are very contemporary.” This perfect marriage of modernity and tradition finds a unique persona of its own in the vintage armchairs from Lucca Antiques surrounding a walnut games table in the rec room.

Playing for the Phoenix Suns NBA team with his $220 million mansion also seated just a 20-minute drive away from Phoenix, the house boasts of a single-story 5,000-square-foot space with 4 bedrooms and as many bathrooms. Decked with a wine cellar, fitness, and spa area, a shoe closet, and a beautiful garage with Booker’s prized collection- all the necessities required to entertain NBA stars, the mansion redefines the very essence of luxury. Furnished with a swimming pool at the back, complemented by views of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve, a towering NBA lifestyle couldn’t have asked for anything better.
