Since he was serving an indefinite suspension when the trade went down, he won’t take long to lace up. And, if all goes as planned, he could be taking on the court this Saturday.

Ironic, right?

This will be the last time the two sides meet in the regular season, with the Warriors winning by a landslide in their previous matchup last month. This time, they’ll have even more depth with the strong presence of Jimmy Butler to make an impact. And while speaking about Steph, Jimmy said, “Playing with Steph, I mean everybody knows he’s the greatest shooter in the world, greatest shooter in history. “I think that’s a big reason for the trade is to, you know, help Steph, help alleviate some of that pressure,” he said during the press conference last night following the loss to the Lakers. Kerr further emphasized, “I imagine that Jimmy is going to be really important for us, both, you know, with Steph next to him and when Steph’s off the floor.” So even before the Heat number 22 starts, his role has been conveyed.

The expectations are already high, and Jimmy will need to buckle up and deliver. If he doesn’t, there could be other potential moves the franchise might be planning behind the scenes.
