The Davidson Wildcats boasted of a history of success and an incredible coach in Bob McKillop. However, with the other teams being strong forces, Davidson’s chances of making the NCAA tournament were slim. Their 4-6 start did not make their case any stronger. But then came a Chef Curry masterclass.
Under Stephen Curry’s leadership, the Wildcats bounced back from a 4-6 start to an unbelievable 22-0 run. This propelled them to a Southern Conference Tournament Championship and a ticket to the NCAA tournament. However, this is where the real challenge began.
Curry had led his team to their 10th overall appearance in the NCAA tournament but they were now pitted against the reputed Gonzaga Bulldogs. This was however followed by a historic performance from Curry, that also left his mother, Sonya in shock.
