One argument that could be made is that Wembanyama may not be fit to play center given his body weight. The league boasts players at the center position who could absolutely bully Wembanyama for physicality.

That would increase the risk of him suffering an injury and possibly bringing his career to a quick end. Being at the center comes with the responsibility of being the team?s defensive anchor.

Based on his skillset, it would be much better to use him on the offensive side of the floor. So, even though Wembanyama would start at the four, he could still assist in defense whenever needed.
