Overshadowed by the greatness of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, a 24-year-old guard continues to rock the NBA world. It’s none other than Tyler Herro. This rising superstar has to outperform himself every time to get a feature in the spotlight. And, he has managed to do it as well. Especially, Herro is currently having a career-high season with the Miami Heat averaging, 24 ppg, 5.7 rbs, and 5.2 assists. The star guard has truly come of age.

However, Herro has captured the spotlight with other means as well. In the late December match-up against the Houston Rockets, the ref ejected the guard along with 5 others in an ugly brawl on the court. During a tussle with Amen Thompson, the Rockets player slammed the guard on the floor, resulting in a hostile situation. This isn’t the first time. In 2021, when Nikola Jokić shoved down the Heat’s Markieff Morris, at that time, it was Herro, who stood up first against the big man.

So, despite being the third-best player on the team, Tyler Herro has managed to grab our attention. We didn’t mean to say that the star guard engages in hostile acts to stay in the spotlight, but these untimely events keep happening. Nevertheless, there’s an interesting story behind the star’s leap in the current season. Before we go deep into it, let’s get down to the business which is figuring out Tyler’s salary and career earnings.

A slight change made the whole difference

Tyler Herro definitely did something differently this season to have a major jump in his stats. It’s more evident to the extent that it won’t be surprising if he goes on to fetch his first All-Star appearance. So, there has been a slight change in his shot selection that brought him here. The team certainly has placed a check on his mid-range jumpers and the occasion at which the star decides to pull that up.

Speaking of it, Eric Spoelstra said, “He’s smart and he could understand, intellectually, that a more efficient profile would help and also help him.” Since that change, the star’s true shooting percentage has taken a drastic spike. He is one of the 10 guards averaging above 20 points with a true shooting percentage of at least 60.
