LeBron James, while still concealing the exact time he has remaining, has openly addressed his retirement plans. “I’m not going to play that much longer, to be completely honest,” the Akron Hammer recently said. Words, though, only say one part of the story. Only a look at the 39-year-old racing through the floor is sufficient to show the standards that James has set for himself. However, what he did against the Orlando Magic couldn’t have been foreseen.

There was a time if James jumped, it was ill-advised for the defender to even try and challenge. Head above the rim and a 6’9″ would soar through the air. But now, his motor isn’t the same. Moreover, this season is unique, having the opportunity to play with his son, Bronny. That has truly rejuvenated his spirits as he continues to elongate his command of the game.

Speaking of those feelings, there is also Bryce James, the younger son of the Lakers forward. Identical to his elder brother, he too wishes to be in the NBA. LeBron James has said it might be “one year or two years” that he plays. But watching his acrobatics, his avid fans think he has a vision in mind.

“Yeah bro Bryce and Bron gonna be the 2nd Father-Son duo in the NBA,” the sentiment relayed. The 17-year-old has previously spoken about the possibility. Bryce James doesn’t believe it. But how many times has LeBron James gone on to do the things perceived to be impossible?

Despite him being probably at his most vulnerable in his basketball life, the sense of worry among fans is quickly declining. “Absolutely no reason for him to retire anytime soon,” a fan wrote. It will remain a challenge without question. However, depending on the drive that LeBron James possesses, he might find a way to bend his role and prolong his career for longer.
