Luka Doncic has been at the forefront of the offense of the Dallas Mavericks. He had a quad injury on December 22 and returned against the San Antonio Spurs. He piled up 39 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists in three quarters as his team went on to create 144-119 carnage for the Spurs. As the fans were expecting a fierce battle between him and the sensation Victor Wembanyama, the latter got injured during the warm-up.

Many think Domcic will be able to overthrow Karim Abdul Jabbar and LeBron James in terms of points scored. But in the past, the star has claimed that he doesn’t have those dreams. He has instead talked about his plans to go back to the farm in Slovenia that he recently gave a glimpse of.

As his team plans to face the Phoenix Suns, the star revealed a bizarre plan for what he is going to do after retirement. He wore farm-themed sneakers recently and has claimed that he plans to work on the farm after he bids goodbye to the sport.

Luka Dincic has 28 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.1 assists in his 357 regular games. In this season he averages 32.9 points.  As 38 year LeBron James crossed the 40000 point mark many think that Luka will be able to reach there comfortably based on his monster average.

Earlier Luka had shared why he doesn’t want to play as long as LeBron did. He said, “I’m in my fifth season, I’m thinking about today, not the scoring record. I don’t have goals (asked about goals in terms of LeBron-like longevity), probably as long as my body holds out. Like I said, 20 years is a long time. I’m going to go to my Slovenian farm,”

But working on the farm alone has not been on the list of the Slovenians. Considered one the greatest ever European places, he aims to go back to his roots and play where he was nurtured to be a star.

Luka Doncic’s European plans

Luka Doncic is not planning to chase 40000 point mark given his monster average. He has to play for the Mavericks for a year, and his $215 million contract will conclude after four years. He has talked about the desire to go back to Real Madrid where he was crowned EuroLeague MVP.

He said how the place groomed him intellectually and nurtured him with skills. He took the names of his teammates and said that he has fond memories of the place. Luka said, “I wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn’t for Real Madrid. I learned everything here: speaking, studying, and playing basketball. I’d like to take a lot of teammates with me: Rudy, Llull, a coach, a physio,” Luka Doncic said. “I’ve got a lot of great memories and I’m happy to be back.”
