Footprint Center witnessed one of the greats rise into a new stratosphere. Ever since the Phoenix Suns‘ ‘Big 3’ made it’s debut, the rings of danger were heard around the league. The three-headed snake rarely misses. Of course, they didn’t fail today while battling the Indiana Pacers. Facing off the Haliburton-less Pacers, Kevin Durant went nuclear and did something for the first time in the history of the Suns organization.
Durant went on to score 40 points on the Eastern Conference side. Coupled with Bradley Beal’s efficient 25 points, the Suns survived on their first-quarter lead. Phoenix has now won all of their last five games without really breaking a sweat. KD led the charge all night as he punished the shorthanded Indiana side.
The Pacers, since trading for Pascal Siakam have lost two of their last three games. Generally, the side is unflappable in the face of a short deficit. They have the third-best offensive rating in clutch time as per NBA stats. But what do they do when a 7-foot forward with abnormal movement and scoring instinct is completely unleashed? But is he really 7 feet tall?

Kevin Durant clarifies his real height
Kevin Durant may be 35, but on the court, he hasn’t aged a single day. With his long, wiry frame, he is almost impossible to guard. Tonight, the scoring master put on one of his most elegant offensive displays at the Phoenix arena. He dropped 40 points on the Pacers. It was because of his gargantuan night that the Suns could survive with a seven-point lead.
His offense was timely, and it was flawless. He became the first person in Suns history to score 40 without attempting a single free throw. It was only the 14th time any NBA player had achieved such a milestone. Simply put, Durant was untouchable tonight.
The NBA world, without surprise, turned on its head. The Suns are slowly starting to look a lot like the title contenders one presumed they would be with their killer trio. Judging from their success together, many doubts are being erased. Yet, there is one place where the NBA world has been confused for years.
We know Durant is tall, but just how tall? There have been murmurs that he is a 7 footer and listed wrongly by the NBA. Others claim 6’10 is the correct size. The only person who truly knows is Kevin Durant. So he cleared the air in the post-game pressers.
“I really am 6’10”,” he told the curious reporter. “I’m not going to lie if it’s not seven feet. I play big, I got long arms so it looks like it. I have to guard seven-footers sometimes but I am 6’10”

Well, 6’10 or 7 feet, both those heights wouldn’t justify how Kevin Durant can move the way he does on the court. He is surprisingly quick and agile, enough so to easily leave his defenders in the dust. Moving away from the traditional prototype, the Slim Reaper can shoot freely on any given night and his midrange flair is unmatched in the NBA.

So the three inches of height wouldn’t make a difference. As Durant said, he plays ‘big’, but his presence on the court is significantly larger.
