The Golden State Warriors in the Kevin Durant era were arguably the most powerful team in the league. Following Durant’s entry in 2016, the Dubs went on to win two consecutive NBA titles along with KD’s two Finals MVPs. However, it didn’t last long as he left the team after tearing his Achilles in the 2019 Finals. Following that, the Dubs faced KD only as an opponent in the Brooklyn Nets jersey. Importantly, fans in the Bay area have yet to see the Slim Reaper at Chase Center since his exit.

In the last four seasons, the Nets played multiple games at the Warriors’ home court. Each time, Durant missed out on playing the game for various reasons. Notably, the superstar missed the entire 2019-20 season, recovering from a torn Achilles. During the 2020 February outing, he suffered a hamstring injury, and he missed another game in the 2020-21 season due to a knee injury. Nevertheless, he played a game in February 2021 in Golden State, but unfortunately, fans weren’t present because of pandemic restrictions.
