After a hot start to the season, the Golden State Warriors have even slipped from the Play-In tournament picture in the Western Conference. And they’re battling it out right now against the Toronto Raptors to improve their chances. The Warriors have been looking for a center but have to make do with Trayce Jackson-Davis. But it looks like luck wasn’t on their side. During the game, TJD appeared to injure his right thumb/wrist in the third quarter, leading him to leave the court, as per Anthony Slater from The Athletic.

He exited with about 7 minutes remaining in the third to get checked out, heading to the locker room for some quick treatment. Trayce Jackson-Davis had his hand taped, but after a brief break, he returned to the game just under 3 minutes later. It seems like the injury won’t hold him back much, and Jackson-Davis will likely keep up his usual minutes. But, that hand? Definitely something we’ll want to keep an eye on.

In 30 minutes of play, the Warriors center recorded 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 points. The 6-foot-9 center has played 37 games this season, starting in 30 of them. He averages 19.9 minutes per game, shooting an impressive 58.9% from the field. While he hasn’t attempted a single three-pointer this season, the hoopster’s been solid from the free-throw line, hitting 64.1% of his attempts. On average, Jackson-Davis grabs 6.1 rebounds per game, with 2.1 offensive boards and 4.0 defensive rebounds.

Even though the Warriors were the favorites for this matchup, they lost to the Raptors 104-101!

The Raptors have been having a rough time this season with an 8-31 record and only one win in their last 10 games before they took on the Bay Area side. It’s been hard to watch, but there’s a silver lining. Toronto’s home record, at 7-13, was a lot better than their abysmal 1-18 mark on the road. And they just bettered it today!

The Warriors’ season took another hit with a crushing 104-101 loss to the Raptors, dropping them below .500 for the first time this year. Despite holding a nine-point lead in the fourth, Golden State couldn’t seal the deal. Steph Curry’s 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists weren’t enough to get the win, and Toronto capitalized with some clutch plays.

Chris Boucher was the star for the Raptors, going off for 17 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Curry’s late, contested 3-pointer with just 40 seconds left missed, and after Toronto grabbed the rebound, Buddy Hield’s airball then sealed Golden State’s fate.

Missing Draymond Green didn’t help, and with Andrew Wiggins playing his first game in Toronto since 2018, the Warriors just couldn’t get things going. The Splash Bro tried to fuel a late comeback, but even with a few standout moments, Golden State’s offense stalled. Their ball movement was off, and poor shot selection plagued them.

It all came down to the final minutes when Ochai Agbaji’s layup put Toronto up 102-101. Curry, known for his clutch moments, missed a tough 3-pointer with time running out, and the Raptors capitalized with a fast break bucket to ice the game. The crowd at Scotiabank Arena went super-wild as the Warriors’ struggles continued, leaving fans questioning if this team is still championship-ready.
