The Warriors just can’t seem to catch a break! They headed into tonight’s Wizards clash hoping to continue the momentum from Wednesday’s win against the Wolves. And they did a solid job maintaining the lead for the majority of the game. However, things quickly began to go south when Draymond Green left with an injury just minutes after tip-off. Even though the Bay Area franchise closed in on a victory without the former DPOY, they suffered another massive setback toward the end of the game when Stephen Curry was forced to leave after a scary collision with Jordan Poole.

The incident occurred in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. As Poole drove to the basket for a layup attempt, Steph did a great job contesting his shot inside the paint. Although he managed to stop his former teammate from scoring, the Baby-Faced Assassin unfortunately tweaked his left ankle as Poole fell on the floor and got tangled up with him after the blocked shot. In a scary sight, Curry immediately began limping and was forced to sub out.

After struggling with pain on the bench for several minutes, Steph headed to the locker room to assess the injury. Sure enough, he did not return to the floor as the Warriors had already ensured their win, thanks to Curry’s 26-point performance.

But the four-time champ could miss games going forward if the ankle injury turns out to be serious. He had injured the same ankle earlier this season.

Obviously, that would be a massive blow to the team because Steph is their best player, averaging 22.9 points and over six assists. Moreover, his running mate Draymond could also be out for some time after he left tonight’s game early due to left calf tightness.

Fortunately, tonight’s outcome was not affected by the dual injury as the Warriors won by eight points. But Dub Nation is surely concerned about their two beloved superstars. And Steve Kerr had a crucial update about them after the game. Turns out, he had a conversation with Steph, who thinks that the ankle injury is not serious. As of now, the point guard has been put on a day-to-day status.

Meanwhile, Draymond’s injury might be a little more complex. As per the head coach, the forward will undergo an MRI on Sunday to further assess his calf. Well, that’s concerning news because Green had just returned tonight from a three-game hiatus because of an illness. And he could be back on the sidelines once again. Obviously, this is not what the Warriors wanted as they aim to climb the West standings.
