The Phoenix Suns vs the Los Angeles Lakers game for a spot in the semi-finals was as thrilling a match as could ever be. But the Suns had to succumb to the Lakers in the final moments. Unfortunately, there was more to add to their agony. A glaring one was an ankle sprain sustained by the Suns’ star forward, Kevin Durant.
While there was a back-and-forth regarding a ref call, in the post-game talks, KD said that it wasn’t enough of a reason to pin the loss on. They are hoping to get back on track vs the Kings tomorrow. But the circumstances seem to be against them.

The Suns are getting ready to face the Sacramento Kings tomorrow. To add more woes to the already depleted roster, Kevin Durant has been listed as out, along with Grayson Allen, Bradley Beal, and Damion Lee. A social media post listed out the players who remain injured as the Suns faces the Kings.
Suns injury report vs. Kings tomorrow:
Kevin Durant (left ankle sprain) – Out
Grayson Allen (right groin strain) – Out
Bradley Beal (low back strain) – Out
Damion Lee (right meniscus surgery) – Out— Gerald Bourguet (@GeraldBourguet) December 8, 2023
Durant has been the backbone that the Suns have relied on in the absence of one or both of his partners. But the 35-year-old cannot always avoid injuries. The Kings matchup will be the third game he will have missed this season. The last two were against the Grizzlies (Nov 24) and Knicks (Nov 26).
Thankfully, the team could hold on because of the offensive efficiency of Devin Booker and Eric Gordon. Allen and Gordon had been taking the places of the Big 3 as and when they missed games. But with Grayson also on the injury list for tomorrow, Gordon will once again join Booker as they face the ‘Beam Team’.

The Suns’ fans wait to see the Big 3 on-court
A silver lining in this is that Beal will reach the end of his three-week evaluation period. If all goes well, we can probably see him up and about, soon to take the court. Coach Vogel had confirmed that Beal had attended “full practice” on Thursday.

Arizona’s hopes of bringing together a Big 3 of their own for this season have been on standby. Even though KD has been listed as out, Beal still hasn’t received clearance for on-court activities. And though ankle sprains aren’t a major concern, the Suns will look to rest their superstar as a precaution. With one or two of the stars in question always out due to injury, the Suns and their fans are diligently waiting for a positive sign. What are your thoughts on the likelihood of the Suns overpowering Sacramento?
