Is Jaren Jackson Jr. going to be all right? A question running through the minds of attendees at the Fiserv Forum as the matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Milwaukee Bucks is underway. Injuries have barely plagued the player this reason, something which cannot be said for a few of his peers. As a result, he has gotten to play in 45 of his team’s last 48 games. If the recent incident was an indication, however, it was that the streak was in danger of being affected.

The Grizzlies power forward/center recently headed to the locker room after he was hit in the face! Per reports, things had gotten to the point that the player was even bleeding from his cheek. But only 12 minutes after Underdog NBA posted about his exit, the Memphis side revealed that he returned to the game.

The Bucks were leading 25-22 when Ryan Rollins’ elbow caught Jaren Jackson Jr. in his face. This caused the game to come to a brief halt. By the time 10:15 minutes were remaining in the 3rd quarter, the hoopster had recorded 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 17 minutes. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough and the Bucks continued to lead the scoring, this time with a 69-61 score.

It was a good thing that the injury did not sideline the Grizzlies‘ power forward for long. After all, the team had gone into the matchup without Ja Morant, as he continues to heal from a shoulder injury for the second game in a row. He was a game-time decision and was ultimately ruled out. Despite the worry some of the people showed on social media after Jaren Jackson Jr. went down, the announcers didn’t make too much of it. They reportedly joked, “Well, he’s still pretty & s-xy”, even as the player bled!

Jaren Jackson Jr. was back in no time after receiving some stitches. With this escape, JJJ continues his streak of being amongst the least injured players in the league, amid a full medical room in Memphis.

What other injuries did Jaren Jackson Jr. sustain this season?

Since the beginning of the ongoing season, the 25-year-old Grizzlies star has only sustained one other ailment! Back in January, the player went down because of thigh soreness. If the situation had worsened, Jackson Jr. was set to miss his first game since October 25! However, despite being listed under a ‘Questionable’ status, the hoopster participated in the Houston Rockets matchup. Since then, though, no other ailments have come Jackson’s way that would prevent him from representing his team.

With 22.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists, Jaren Jackson Jr. is on his way to leaving a memorable mark this season. After all, his average scoring is already higher than Ja Morant’s. Furthermore, his availability streak dominates over the point guard’s, as the latter has only played in 28 games this season. Jackson Jr’s efficiency as a starter is mostly why he was chosen as an All-Star this season, while Morant failed to gain a spot.
