According to the latest injury report by the Memphis Grizzlies, Ja Morant’s status for the next game is questionable due to illness. So, there is a possibility that he might not suit up against Nikola Jokić and Co. tomorrow. Ja has been on a tear since his return, averaging 28.8 points, 8.5 assists, and 5.5 rebounds. The Grizzlies cannot afford to lose Ja again as they are already struggling to stay afloat. They are 13th in the Western Conference with a 10-19 record.

Morant finds himself in a new controversy
Ja played amazingly in the last game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He scored 31 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds and got his team a 116-115 win in overtime. However, Ja found himself in deep waters yet again after his controversial celebration following a clutch dunk. Morant threw down an alley-oop to give the Grizzlies a 6-point lead with 13.7 seconds remaining in the game. He proceeded to celebrate with what looked like a gun shooting celebration. The celebration immediately caught the NBA World’s attention, considering Ja’s recent history with firearms.
It was later clarified that Ja was not imitating shooting a gun, but was doing the “Rock Ya Hip” dance. Social media influencers Subtweet Shawn and T99zy have popularized the move in New Orleans. Ja is one of the most exciting players to watch when he is on the court.
