The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to continue their undefeated streak in the inaugural in-season tournament. LeBron James and Co. are 3-0 to start the tournament and are going head-to-head against the Utah Jazz tonight. But the Lakers suffered a big blow early in the game as their forward, Cam Reddish, was ruled out of the game after playing just 5 minutes in the first quarter.

Find out what happened to the in-form Cam Reddish that led to his departure from the Lakers-Jazz game.

Cam Reddish has played great since Darvin Ham moved him into the starting lineup. The forward is averaging 10.8 points and 2.5 steals as a starter and has performed great in clutch situations. Unfortunately, Reddish was not able to continue his elite form in tonight?s in-season tournament game against the Utah Jazz. He got ruled out for the rest of the game after he hurt his groin in the first quarter. Reddish was seen limping to the locker room, with Rob Pelinka walking behind him. He went scoreless before heading out of the game.

The severity of Cam?s injury is unknown, and it is uncertain when he will return to action. The Lakers are hoping it is not a severe injury as they are already missing a 2-way wing in Jarred Vanderbilt. After a great performance in last season?s playoffs, Vanderbilt has not played any game this season because of left heel bursitis. Vanderbilt signed a 4-year $48 million contract this summer but has not been able to prove his worth due to injury.

The Lakers are finally starting to find their groove and get back in the winning column. But if Cam Reddish?s injury causes him to miss some time, it will slow LeBron James and Co. down again.

The latest updates don’t seem all that promising for Reddish and the Lakers, as Darvin Ham has said they’ll know more about his injury in the morning.

What LeBron is doing in his 21st NBA season is unprecedented. At age 38, King James is the best player on the Lakers roster, and he is carrying them to victories almost every night. LeBron is averaging 26.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.5 assists. But at some point, the 38-year-old is bound to slow down due to fatigue. LeBron?s co-star, Anthony Davis, needs to take charge before that happens.

AD has had a decent season so far, averaging 22 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.3 blocks. But the Lakers need him to be the best player on the court for them and take some load off LeBron?s shoulders. Davis is a player in his prime, and the Lakers will go as far as he takes them. With more of his teammates joining the injured players list, LeBron will have to deal with more responsibilities on the court. And that needs to change for the Lakers to have a successful season.
