The ongoing matchup between the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves holds the faith of the latter franchise in its hands. With the team trailing the defending champions by 2-3, one more loss is all they need to be eliminated from the tournaments. With 9:05 minutes remaining in the 3 quarter, the Timberwolves currently hold a 67-42 lead. However, the latest complication involving lead scorer Anthony Edwards may complicate things.

Barely a few minutes ago, Ant-Man attempted to make a layup by dashing to the end of the court and near the hoop. However, a block by a rival player caused the player to lose balance and land right on his back. As he lay on his front, the rest of the Timberwolves roster approached and surrounded him.

The energetic and enthusiastic crowd at the Target Center was seen taking a temporary vow of silence as the circumstances around their star player remained unknown. Eventually, ‘Ant-Man’ got up and proceeded to head towards the bench. As he did, the same crowd started chanting “MVP!” in a booming decibel.

By the end of the third quarter, Anthony Edwards had played for 30 minutes and secured a score of 24 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists to his name. After returning, he went on to bring his points total to 27.

According to Statmuse, this score is the highest +/- in a playoff game in the history of the Timberwolves. Jaden McDaniels trailed the lead scorer with his 21, while Karl-Anthony Towns and Mike Conley Jr. each put up 10 points each. Despite being on the Injury Report, Mike Conley made himself available. By establishing a 20+ point lead, the roster is attempting to ensure that they live to fight another day in the ongoing tournament.

Anthony Edwards is ready for Game 7

By the time a couple of minutes had passed in the 4 quarter, Anthony Edwards seemed to be all fine and well on the basketball court. With the Timberwolves possessing a 99-63 lead and the home-court advantage, the player did not want to let go of a chance to gloat while the opportunity continued to remain.

As spectators at the Target Center watched on, the 22-year-old lifted both of his hands, sticking out all five of his fingers from one and two fingers from the other. With this, he assured Minnesota fans that their favorite team is not giving up now. With the score tied at 3-3, the Timberwolves will head to Game 7, the ultimate elimination game.

Throughout the game, the player was not only hyping up the crowd but his teammates as well. During a bench conversation captured by onlookers, he could be heard addressing the Timberwolves roster and saying, “This is what I was talking about the other day: We get a lead and get comfortable. Keep your foot on the gas.”

Anthony Edwards stayed true to his word and helped the Timberwolves win the latest matchup by a score of 115-70. When discussing the matchup during a post-game interview, he stated, “Today was about not losing my aggression, regardless of what they are going to do, I wasn’t about to lose my aggression. I’ll be ready for Sunday.”

Game 7 will now take place two days from now in the Ball Arena, the Denver Nuggets’ home court in Colorado. While the majority of the crowd will be made up of Nuggets fans, the same won’t be an issue for the ‘Ant-Man’ and his roster. After all, they have won 2 of their last 3 matchups there.
