Ever since he was drafted in 2017, Jayson Tatum has achieved unprecedented levels of success in the league. With 4x NBA All-Star appearances in just six seasons, the Duke alum is the league’s brightest youngster. The 2017 third-overall pick has established himself as a cornerstone player in the Celtics franchise. He can impact the game on both ends of the court and was a key player during the franchise’s improbable run to the Eastern Conference Finals.
However, before rising to stardom, he was just a kid, hoping for his favorite star to acknowledge him. Taking advantage of this situation, Kevin Hart took a hilarious dig at the young star for an embarrassing LeBron James tweet.

The Boston Celtics forward was recently a guest on superstar comedian and actor Kevin Hart’s show Cold As Balls.?On the show, the duo discussed a variety of topics concerning basketball. However, the conversation veered into a lighter vein: social media. During the conversation, JT recalled an incident from when he was 13 years old. The young JT had taken to X to request LeBron James for a follow-back. Desperate for a follow-up, he even mentioned his connections, so James would notice him. Unfortunately, that did not work as the Lakers legend is yet to follow him on X.
Jayson said, “When I first got my Twitter, I was like 13. My dad?s best friend is Larry Hughes, and I tweeted LeBron to follow me. I was like name-dropping that I am Larry Hughes? godson.”
